Kids Today
I'm out in my front yard raking up leaves and dead grass (woohoo!) and I hear the 3:30 bell ring. School is out for St. Malachy! So kids start makeing their way home through the walkway beside my house, and damn....the shit comming out of these kids mouths was putting me to shame. Now I admit I enjoy the use of curse words, and feel that there is nothing wrong with using them (its just a combination of letters people, sticks and stones and all that good stuff). But I also recognize that most people do not share my view point and so I try to clean up my vocabulary if a situation requires it.

Then I see these two winners, pimp-walking their way home, with hats at the proper 35-degree angle, pants too big for me (these kids are like 5'2"), and wearing oversized jerseys. Now if it were closer to October 31 I could've let it go, and the only part of their conversation that I heard without cursing was 'man i'm so much more gangsta then you...i've got BOTH 50 Cent CDs!'

yup kids are the future, and the future is bright

P.S. Doug Flutie signed with the New England Patriots for next season...sounds good to me

OASISSSSSSS
i wanna see oasis. i know i'm seeing them in june but i wanna seee em NOW!!!!!
just saw them on glastonbury 2004 which is what has triggered this need to see them.

yeah, so the girl on the right for those of you who don't know is jennifer morrison. she's the hot girl on House. last week she left the show but i think its temporary she'll hopefully be back next week.

coldplay tickets go on sale tomorrow but i think this is one concert i'm gonna miss. nobody really seems to be trying to get anything together and i really should be saving money right now. plus i really don't wanna put anymore tickets on my visa. weezer, kasabian, oasis and u2 should be enough anyways :P

Top 5
I couldn't really think of a good top 5 for this week, not that any of the others were good, i'm really just drawing a blank. So i was checking out some sites i frequent for 'inspiration' (thats code for idea stealing). So to make a short story even shorter, in place of internet plagerisim (apparently it happens all the time)here are the top 5 sites i like to visit:

5. ...but mostly rants
4. My Blog Is Poop
3. hey freak dot com - less bugaloo, more freak!
2. The Superficial - Because You're Ugly
1. Pardon The Eruption

check em out, there is some definite quality reading entertainment

speaking of reading entertainment, boy am i pumped to be done this semester. now i can go back to reading works of fiction and books that don't need 'et al.' in their referencing. see my problem is that there is a book sale that comes to the university 4-5 times a year with 'outrageously slashed prices!' or something like that....bottom line is i stack up a pile of books over the year, but i'm afraid to start reading any of them cause if i get hooked its gonna take serious time away from my schoolin (and i'm quite sure my procrastination levels are maxed out)

anyone see gary 'possible roidrage' sheffield almost go apeshit on that fan last night? hes tracking the ball down in right field, picks it up, takes a swing at the fan, then throws the ball in....i think i respect him more for taking a swing at the guy while the play was still going on....maybe respect is the wrong word (what am i an english major?), it got a thumbs up from me at least

well i think thats enough outta me for a while....time to start packing up all my junk

"Your shit ain't gon' never pop like ten gold chains,
thats why your bitch blowin on me like nintendo games"
- Lloyd Banks

remember blowing on nintendo games....i sure do....okay this time i'm outta here for serious

Survey Time!
Who likes studying for exams? well i can tell you that one acceptable answer is 'not me'. so whats better then studying for exams? pretty much everything, right now i'm choosing to go with the 'completely usuless question' route.
Heres the scenario, its your birthday and you can invite some famous folks to join you (living or dead) 2 actors, 2 musicians, 2 athletes, 2 people that don't fit the previous catergories, plus 2 bonus. feel free to supply reasoning behind your choices, oh and good luck on exams to everyone.

hmmm maybe i should post something
pretty much done school. finished technically my last exam today, which was actually pretty easy (technically cuz i have one two weeks from now, but i haven't been to that class in like 3 months). so now its just work, work, work till i can finally save up some money.

oh by the way i'm kicking mike's ass in the fantasy pool right now 8-4 baby!!! wooo!

Fantasy Baseball Stats
I'm sure the only person who is going to find this post interesting is me. I love fantasy baseball and I love useless stats, plus this is way more fun then reading a philosophy of the environment textbook. So unless you care about my fantasy baseball mindset and some general stat breakdowns for my teams you can just skip on down to the previous post.

This year I joined 4 pools (2 public and 2 private) with a grand total of 89 picks to be made. I've got representation from almost every team, unfortunatly no players from Milwaukee, San Diego, Seatle or Washington were able to crack my squads. The most support is comming from Oakland (9 picks), Boston (7 picks), Houston, Cincinnati and the Chicago Cubs (6 picks each). With a fairly even split between both leagues, 47 American Leaguers vs. 42 National League counterparts

Didn't have to draft a single player that I dislike, although my feelings for players will likely have changed significantly by the end of the season. 20 players will be suiting up for multiple appearances on my teams. No one made it onto all 4 teams but, Carl Crawford, Jeremy Bonderman, Kerry Wood, Tim Hudson, Danny Haren and Rich Harden found their ways onto 3 of my 4 teams.

Veterans welcomed back from previous fantasy seasons include: Todd Helton, Carl Crawford, Aubrey Huff and Austin Kearns. This also marks the first season Jeff Bagwell or Craig Biggio haven't been able to secure a position on any of my teams (although once Biggio's second base eligibility kicks in I might have to snatch him up in one of my public pools). Toronto representation is comming from Roy Halladay, Vernon Wells and new edition Cory Koskie, each of whom make one appearance each.

Of all the drafts there wasn't really any suprises other then Kerry Wood going first overall in one of the public ones. So heres to a healthy, suspension free season to all my players.

Its 2AM do you know where your sleep pattern is?
well i just woke up from a solid 7 hours of sleep, i think this is the most thrown off i've ever let an all-nighter get me. usually i tough it out till a normal bedtime and then just sleep in till noon the next day. i still feel good knowing that every assignment for this semester is now over....damn it feels good...now to study for finals

so part of the reason for the all-nighter was that i had to put together a 30 minute proposal to use wild turkeys as a biological control for yellow nutsedge in corn crops (ask me about it sometime, its cool shit). so anyway the class that it was for only has 5 students in it so we're kind of a tight group now and we decided to have a pizza party after the last presentations (yeah!) so the prof goes off to order it and when he comes back hes like 'well i got a vegitarian one, and i hope some of you like bacon cause thats the other one' and thats when i decided he was the coolest prof ever, oh and they were stuffed crust pizzas too, fuckin right doggy thats some good pizza

and now because its friday heres this week's top 5
EA Sports titles:

5. NBA Live 2004
4. Madden 2004
3. NHL 2005
2. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005
1. MVP Baseball 2005

i haven't played the '05 Live yet but i hear its quality....now i think i'll play a couple rounds of golf until my body decides to crash again

peace out.....FORE!
