The Name Game okay this isn't really a game but I found this to be kinda interesting check out this site to see where your name ranks over the course of time. Heres the top names (male - female) since the 1900s 1900s: John - Mary 1910s: John - Mary 1920s: Robert - Mary 1930s: Robert - Mary 1940s: James - Mary 1950s: Michael - Mary 1960s: Michael - Lisa 1970s: Michael - Jennifer 1980s: Michael - Jessica 1990s: Michael - Ashley 2003: Jacob - Emily and how do the authors of this site rank over time you may be asking (but probably not) Mike: 167th, 135th, 184th, 202nd, 82nd, 82nd, 49th, 216th, 473rd, 583rd, 623rd Steve: 151st, 118th, 155th, 182nd, 85th, 59th, 54th, 162nd, 223rd, 329th, 448th Tom: 115th, 145th, 139th, 121st, 97th, 138th, 121st, 367th, 614th, 853rd, not in top 1000 alright, granted none of those are our birth names (if i'd gone that way i woulda dominated). so what have we learned here today? my parents: not the most original namers on the block....oh well i coulda been Moxie CrimeFighter
Comments:
hahahaha i was bitching about that too, but i forgot to put it in the post....i don't mind being knocked out of the #1 spot, but by jacob?! really?!
i also don't know any jacob's, but if its 2003s most popular name i 'spose its cause i don't know that many 2 year olds
damn I dominated in the early going with the rankings, but dropped right off.... and not even in the top 1000? what's up with that!
at one time there was 4 different Tom's on my hockey team!!!
Yeah i was really suprised tom wasn't in the top 100, but when Jacob is #1 who knows whats up with folks these days
