Stupidness... ok i just briefly saw the news and they had a story about an 8 year old boy that was lost overnight when he never came home from his friends house who lived a couple blocks away. the parents called the police and apparently they had a search and even used helicopters to search for this kid. they found him today. he had slept over at the friends house. HOW THE FUCK DON'T YOU CALL THE FRIENDS HOUSE WHEN THE KID DOESN'T COME HOME????? don't have the kids number? then lets call the cops and freak out. i dunno maybe i missed some of the story and its not that simple, i really hope that i missed something, cuz i hope people this stupid don't have kids. - posted by steve @ 11:37 PM

i think that if i was ever unfortunate enough to be a parent, i'd get to know my kid's (kids'?) friends' (friend's?) parent(s).

hahah it was in markham. and apparently it was a different friend's house the kid slept over it at..... but still...... you gotta keep better tabs on your kids
One time back in the day (St. Malachy days) I went over to a buddies house....and my folks knew exactly where I was....but I came home 2 hours after whatever time I was supposed to come home, so I got grounded for two weeks and put on the rack for 4 hours (thats why I'm so tall today)
Whats the point of that story?? i dunno, but i doubt my folks would even call the cops after getting a ransom note....it'd be like 'fuck we raised an idiot...oh well, one down one to go' and then they'd change all the locks just in case i found my way home.
i think parents who call the cops to look for their kids are too lazy to find them themselves.
