Why it pays to like bad teams...
I like the Tampa Bay Devil Rays! Okay not quite, but I do like Carl Crawford and Aubrey Huff and thats good enough because no one else outside of fantasy baseball knows these guys. Plus the Devil Rays suck, and no one in Toronto wants to go to a Jays game unless Boston or New York is in town. So why does it pay to like bad teams? Because people are so against 'wasting' their afternoon watching a team like the Devil Rays play they give their tickets away...tickets right behind home plate...for FREE! I don't know whats wrong with people, I've only been to 3 Jays games this season, and they've all been against Tampa and they've all been free. Plus because no one goes to these games the chance of catching a foul ball are much higher too. Josh Towers is starting this afternoon, and I've never seen him pitch before so thats a bonus, and Koskie didn't start the two other games I was at, so hopefully I'll finally get to see him play too.
