Beef o' the Day
Last night during the baseball game the announcers asked the fans to e-mail questions in to be answered during the telecast. So far so good, maybe we'll actually learn something interesting about the 'Stros or Sox. So what do we get as the first question?

"The Yankees and Red Sox finished the season with the same record, so why did the Yankees win the division while the Red Sox got the Wild Card?"

As if we don't hear enough about these two teams when they're playing, we still gotta hear about them when they've both been eliminated. I know this is one of the lowest rated World Series in recent years, but is talking about the two most popular teams in the league really helping anything? I dunno if they just didn't have any Chicago or Houston questions sent in, but I certainly would have prefered to hear about the two teams still playing. Also isn't it common knowledge that ties are broken by looking at the two teams in head to head play? Or am I making too much of an assumption on that one?

P.S. Jermaine Dye = Filthy Pirate Hooker

Comments:
i knew about the ties being broken by head to head play. so i'll let you decide on that fact if it would be common knowledge or not :P
