Just some stuff
  • The Tragically Hip have finally released a greatest hits boxset 'Hipeponymous', and damn is it ever great. 2 CDs, 37 songs. Plus 2 DVDs one with their preformance at the Air Canada Centre from last year, and one with all 23 of their music videos. If that doesn't sound like 10 different kinds of awesome then I don't know what does.

  • I thought I might have been jumping the gun calling House the best show on television in that last post. But it is now official, this show dominates the game like none other. If you watch it on a regular basis you know what I'm talking about, and if you don't, well you should.

  • Jacques Demers released a book a few days ago, and in this book he admits that he is illiterate. If this was someone else I'd probably say something derogatory, then make a joke about them not being able to read it. But I'm not going to do that because I've always liked him. He was the one who decided to make a 21 year-old kid named Steve Yzerman the youngest captain in team history. So hes cool in my book.

  • I was gonna post about my basketball pools, but I don't care that much about them and I'm sure most of you care even less. So I'm gonna leave that one alone for a while. I drafted 2 and let the computer handle one, and the computer drafted me 7 point guards and Nene Hilario...I was not impressed.

  • Staying on the basketball topic I've got a question: In NBA Live 06 how do I dive for a loose ball? The computer can do it, but I can't figure it out, and its not in the manual.

Cameron: "Its Kind of hard to work for a guy that doesn't respect you"
    House: "Why?"
    Cameron: "Is that rhetorical?"
House: "No, it just seems that way because you can't think of an answer"

    A few comments here...

First of all, you can't let the computer handle your basketball drafts. They don't understand the concept of drafting to cover your weaknesses in later rounds. Plus, you always end up with guys like Shane Battier who seem to get high rankings on Yahoo's charts, but never contribute in a significant way on a basketball court.

Second, Jessica Biel has the greatest ass ever, and somebody needed to say that.

Third, you can't dive that I'm aware of, but its a good thing that you can't. You get better speed/control by just running through the ball anyway.

    1) Well I didn't get Battier in the one I let the computer handle, but I did take him in one I drafted myself. So I don't know what that says about my draft skills.

    2) Yes. Yes she does.

    3) Yeah most times the dive would'nt be effective, but when the computer has a step on you it could be the difference maker. And when you knock the ball loose from the opposing player they can dive back for it before you get around them to cut off their path.
