I could be a sportscaster I watched a ton of TV today, or at least had the television on in the background most of the day. Not much memorable, but I found this little exchange from the Raptors/Pacers game to be rediculous enough that I'm going to become a professional sportscaster just to prove that it can't be that hard. There is a stoppage in play and the camera shows some guy on stilts in a giant raptor costume bouncing around, obviously about to lose the pants on the costume so hes gotta hold them up while he bounces around. Then they cut back to Chuck Swirsky and Jack Armstrong talking about the Raptor defence, and they say something like "Just like that guy, this Raptors team needs to pull up their pants" then they throw it over to some other sideline reporter. She chimes in with "I just spoke with Sam Mitchell, and he had the same thing to say about the defence" *long pause* "well, not so much pulling up their pants, but he did say they need to talk more to each other and comunicate". Yeah, thats almost the same thing. I dunno, maybe you had to hear it to full appriciate it...it was no "boom goes the dynamite" but it was pretty awful. |
