Would You Rather...
I was watching The Best Damned Sports Show Period this afternoon. First off all thats a pretty cocky name for a show. Second of all if thats the name for your show you should at the absolute least try to be in the top half of good sports shows. Third of all this show really isn't very good. Okay, I didn't come here to rip on the show all day though. They had a segment on the show entitled 'Would You Rather', and of all their crappy options, one was actually pretty good. So I've decided we should try to make this a semi-regular feature around here too. I'll kick it off with the one that inspired this post, and then throw in a couple of my own. Hit the comments and let me know where you stand.

Would you rather:

Win a championship or get voted into the Hall of Fame?
Sit through the collective works of Vin Diesel or Mark Wahlberg?
Always lose or never play?

Personally, I'm taking the HoF, Vin, and being a big losing loser.

Comments:
Holy bacon strips Mike you are still doing this blog world thing?? I was cleaning up my inbox and stumbled unto your site....well good work, I'm going to have to read it and see what you've been up to...hopefully all is cool!!

Anyways my 3 answers to your questions:

1) Win a championship: sports is about teams, not individual achievements
2) M.W. because of The Italian Job
3) Lose 4 life !!

Best of luck in your pools, hope all is great, ciao for now.

Tony

hey! its my site too!

oh and i take championship, marky mark and always lose.

First of all, welcome back Tony, long time no see. You still doing any fantasy pools, or are you out of the game?

From the team point of view I'd rather be a player like Kevin Garnett or Jeff Bagwell who are both great team guys but don't have championships. As opposed to being a guy like Derrick Coleman or Curt Leskanic who have championship rings but won't get Hall of Fame consideration.

Does anyone change their mind if we're talking about an individual sport like golf?

Marky Mark has the Italian Job and Three Kings going for him, but I love the Riddick character and Boiler Room enough to be worth sitting through The Pacifier.

Championship. H?oF elections are always political. The best don't get in - the most beloved do. Pete Rose, Bernard King, Bonds, etc.

Vin. I honestly likehis flicks. The Pacifier? Hot.

Always lose. Evidenced by my fantasy sports addiction.

No no pools for me, I guess I "retired" a few years back, as fun as they were (we had some good times) I didn't enjoy cheering for players I didn't like against teams I did. However I'm only staying away because I know if I come back I'll get hooked again.

How many baseball pools you in?

Anywho baseball season kicks off tonight, WHITE SOX 4EVER!!

I'm in 4 pools again this season. My solution is to just draft players that I like, makes it a lot easier to cheer for them over the season. And if you're ever in the situation where you have to cheer either for your favorite team or your fantasy team you take the favorite team every time.

The only White Sox player I'm cheering for this season is Neal Cotts, hopefully he gets the closing job. I'm still mad at Jermaine Dye.
